  Pretty good bagels. Chewy but firm and full of flavour. The toppings are great too. I had an everything bagel with tomato cream cheese. The cream cheese was very good and they give you a lot. Next time I'll try one with lox

  Great bagels, but nice people, too.
  
  Living nearby, one kind-of grits their teeth to get in line at Absolute. Like any good spot, excellent bagels create a hard-to-manage popularity.
  
  But on my umpteenth visit last weekend, I forgot my tote-bag in their tiny eating area. I got about five blocks, and ran back. They had noticed, collected it, protected it, and immediately greeted me when I ran in. They would accept no reward, and in broken English expressed a unspoken kindness.
  
  I like living in a neighborhood with these kind of shopkeepers.
